If you just committed to the repo, then simply reload VS Code.

When you connect the working folder with a github repo.

If you make some changes in the folder you need to commit changes to github repo too.

VS code notifies you to do so, So, just committhe changes and reload the VS code window .

To reload --> CTRL+SHIFT+P on windows or COMMAND+SHIFT+P on mac.

Then search "Developer: reload window", click on it

Performing a GIT Commit will resolve this.
